2016 in review.

One of these days I will get around to blogging about China but today I am going to recap 2016!

2016 has been incredible. It had been our first full calendar year of being married and we have had more than our fair share of adventures. We are definitely taking advantage of this semi-responsibility free time we have in our life. I say this every year but I think 2016 has been the best year of my life and I am sad to leave it behind but excited to see what 2017 has in store.

We celebrated our 1 year engagment anniversary and played outside in the snow.

The broncos won the super bowl! And we had a great trip to Moab.

We celebrated Easter with a gross mustache and went to plenty of Utah basketball games.

I really don't know what happened in April because I was so busy trying to finish up grad school so I think one of the only pictures I have from April is from Lauren's wedding.

May was probably my favorite month of the year. I graduated with my MPH, we celebrated our first anniversary, and we went to Disneyland!

June is always the best month of the year because its my birthday! We also had lots of adventures with our friends.

I made the most beautiful dessert ever and we celebrated the 4th of July with Spencer's family.

The obvious highlight of August was Spandanavia (specifically Iceland in August).

We were still traveling in the beginning of September and right when we got home I started a new job (and my Wear to Work Series that I will hopefully get back to come 2017).

October had beautiful fall weather and my favorite halloween costume yet.

We went to Shanghai! Which was completely out of this world.

December was full of Christmas activites and we wouldn't have it any other way.

And the last of the Spandinavia posts has arrived. Which makes me kind of sad. I guess we will just have to go on another trip....well... if you follow me on instagram then you may or may not know that we are on a trip right now! Surprise!

Our first stop in Stockholm was the temple. We were so excited to get to go to another temple for the Spanna Temple Challenge. Sadly we weren't able to go in because we didn't bring any nicer clothes. But the outside was so beautiful that we didn't mind too much.

Then we headed back to the center of Stockholm to go to Skansen. AKA my dream life. It is a zoo and a historical town all in one.

I could not handle the fact that they had a guinea pig exhibit. So funny!

I know I said Skansen was my dream life but thats not quite true. We went to the ABBA museum afterwards and it is really my dream life. I can not tell you how fun it was.

And sadly I only took one picture.

It was seriously top ten best things I have ever done in my life. Everyone has to go to Stockholm purely just to go to the ABBA museum.

The next day we toured the old town and did a boat tour. And I am just going to do a photo dump because my words won't really do it justice.

We had an awesome trip and I am so sad it is over. We had been looking forward to it for almost a whole year so it is kind of disappointing to have it all over but it made us way more excited to go on more trips in the future.

If you know me then you know that I love all forms of royalty. Obviously Will and Kate are my favorites but gimme all the royals. Luckily Norway and Sweden both have royal families and you know what that means...palaces!

When we were planning our trip we were looking at what to do on Oslo and of course I said we should tour the palace. So you can imagine how upset I was when I found out that the palace isn't available for tours after the end of August. And we didn't get to Oslo until the 1st of September. Luckily the outside of pretty or I would have just given up all hope of ever being happy again.

(I am not at all dramatic)

Also I am a very lucky girl because Stockholm has an awesome palace that was open for touring.

I think palace life suits me just fine.

The coolest part of the Stockholm palace is that all the places we toured are real working parts of the palace. So if they are having state visitors or special meeting the palace is closed. So basically I know the Swedish Royal family.

Speaking of the Swedish royal family...they don't live at this palace but they have another just outside of the city that is usually opened for tours but it was closed the weekend we were there and we only figured out after that fact that it was closed for the christening of their grandson. Which made me kid of mad that they didn't invite me...rude.

But we did get to see the chapel where Prince Carl Philip was married like two years ago so that was pretty sweet.

Basically what I am trying to say from this post is that I really really really want to be a princess and if anyone knows Prince Harry tell him to give me a call. Spencer has accepted that if I ever meet Prince Harry I will lie about being married.
