Christmas felt extra full this year. I guess that is what happens when you get married and suddenly have double the family obligations to attend. We spent Christmas Eve with Spencer's family. It was a really fun night but it is still a little hard to not be with your own family for every holiday. Getting married is the best but it comes with some hurdles. It also felt a little weird to not be at my parents house on Christmas morning but we had a great morning just the two of us.

We may have gone a little overboard on the gifts for each other...

But we just couldn't help ourselves!

Then we headed off the my grandparents which is always pure chaos.

While at my grandparents we skyped with Will. He was so happy and loving Mexico but we miss him and it was great to talk to him. It was cool when my recently returned cousin Porter talked with Will. They haven't seen each other in two and a half years and they had a nice little chat.

After we finished talking with Will we went back to my parents house to exchange gifts with them. Then it was off the Spencer's parents. It is seriously a blessing that they live so close. I don't know how we would manage otherwise.

We spent the afternoon with them opening more presents. We seriously got way more presents than we deserved. It is a little ridiculous.

Spencer's family has a fun tradition where his mom hides a pickle ornament on the Christmas tree and whoever finds its gets $20. Only one person from each family got to look so I gladly told Spencer he could look. He was way more into it than I would have been. Lori obviously hid the pickle well because 4 adults looked for it for like 10 minutes. It was hilarious.

Then we headed back to my grandparents for the my favorite part of Christmas. Every year my grandparents buy s one gift and then we get money to give to the charity of our choice. On Christmas everyone tells what charity they donated to and it is so special. This year my grandma also made everyone tell what they are the most grateful for. That was really rude of her because I cry every single year while telling about my charity and when I told what I was grateful for I cried even more. I am such a baby.

Getting to be with Spencer all day of Christmas made it so much more special. I hope everyone had a wonderful day and is really enjoying this special season!
