That may not be the kindest way to start out a post but it is true. Most people hate traveling with a passion but they do it for their job...all while serving cranky people.
You have to be a little weird to do that.
On my flight from New York and Salt Lake there was the peppiest and most cheerful flight attendent I have ever seen in my whole life. She was so cheery it made me a little bit happier about the situation I was in.
I was tired, felt sick to my stomach the whole flight, and really just wanted to be home, but just the fact that she was so happy made me feel better.
I would probably rather do most anything other than be a flight attendent, but I think that the point of this post is me saying that I want to be the type of person that flight attendent was. I want to make people feel happy. And to make them feel better about their lives.
I am going to introduce you to the wonder of the orange roll..
These are one of my top 3 favorite foods on the earth. I may or may not have eaten 3 and a half last night. And one for breakfast.
They are literally sent from heaven. And my wonderful grandma is the only one that can make them in their full glory.
While I love eating orange rolls they are just so much better when it is Mothers Day. I love my mom more than anything and I am so grateful to have her in my life. I probably don't express my thanks enough but I am so so grateful for her.
And my Grandmothers and Great Grandmother and all the other mothers in my life. You are probably the most inspiring people I have ever met. Thank you for all you do!!!
This was probably my favorite quote from conference. It is something that I really need to take into my life. I was so so excited to see it on a big website like that. And when I last looked at 1815 people had labeled it as "Awesome".
I bet almost none of those people knew that it came from a leader in the LDS church. And if they did they probably wouldn't have been so quick to like it. I think it just goes to show that people have wrongly misjudged the LDS church and its standards.
We are not a cult and we are definitely Christians. I am proud to be a part of this church and I love it with all my heart.
And Happy Mothers Day to my wonderful mother. You are the best mom I could have ever asked for. Thanks for all you do!
So I had to go to the bank. I drove to the bank and they didn't have any checking account deposit slips (what kind of a bank doesn't have any deposit slips???). So I had to drive all the way to another bank.
I was not very happy by the time I got there and I was semi embarrassed cause lets just say I spent almost all of my money while I was in London. I thought it was going to be an utter failure trip to the bank until the teller asked if I need anything else and when I said no thank you he replied with "Awesome Possum"
I thought that was so hilarious. Does anyone even say that anymore?? That comment really made my day. I am 98% positive that I will never see that bank teller again since it wasn't my normal bank but it was still the highlight of my day.
We got to go to a Fulham soccer match. It was such a blast.
We were sitting on the 4th row! We were so close I could not even believe it.
The best cheer we heard all night was "If you hate Chelsea stand up. If you hate Chelsea stand up. If you hate Chelsea stand up". These soccer fans were really into it. I have never experienced that much intensity.
I mean. Look at the goalie. He is ready to rumble.
Chelsea got a very stupid penelty and then scored at the end of the first half. All of the fans were outraged and it made the rest of the half very unhappy.
Except Eliza, she is very happy always. Gotta love her
(oh and miss her dearly. Eliza we need to hang out the minute I get home)
Clint Dempsey scored for Fulham off an awesome corner kick. And of course he is American.
We had the best time ever. It was definitely worth sitting in the freezing cold pouring rain for two hours.
