Hunger Games.

This is a week late but I am OBSESSED with The Hunger Games. Like it has gotten a little out of control.

A certain someone (you know who you are) introduced me to the trailer and I really could not stop watching it.

I had never read the books before but once everyone started going all crazy about me not reading it I gave into peer pressure and read the first book.

And boy am I glad I did.

I stayed up all night reading it. I could not put it down.

The only problem was that I finished reading it on tuesday and we were not going to see the movie until saturday...

The long and painful wait resulted in a lot of "this is the hunger games" quotes and us figuring out who would win if our group was in the Hunger Games.

It got a little out of hand.

But we finally got to the movie and it was worth all the craziness that we went through.

Don't we look like we would dominate The Hunger Games???

Edinburgh is one of my top 3 cities I have ever been to in my life.

It is incredibly beautiful. It feels like you have gone back in time.

Our first stop was Edinburgh Castle.

I have been to tons of castles recently so I wasn't expecting to be blown away but it was magnificent.

The views from the castle were too good to even be real.

After the castle we took a nice stroll down the Royal Mile. Obviously I was meant to be on that street because everyone knows that I will soon be royalty.

While on this stroll we encountered this nice little church. If you don't recognize this church I won't blame you but if you do then we offcially best friends for life.

This is where the Queen's granddaughter Zara Phillips got married last summer. That means that Kate and Will and Harry were all right there!

How exciting!

This is the Scottish Parliament. They are getting really fancy up in Edinburgh. The whole building was super modern and didn't really seem to fit in.

But different strokes for different folks.

Hollyrood Palace.

AKA one of my future homes when I marry Prince Harry.

Here are some pretty pictures for you to enjoy.

Best Thing Ever!
There was just random group of drummers and a bagpipe player really getting into it outside of some building. It was so much fun and the lovely Caity even dazzled us with some Irish dancing. Despite the fact that we weren't in Ireland....

Everyone should go to Edinburgh. I think it is seriously underrated. So scurry right along and book your tickets now. I promise you won't regret it.

And I know I tell you to go a lot of places but I am serious about this one.

Go go now!

Ambleside is a tiny little town in the Lake District. We spent about 2 and a half days here and it was worth every second. It was so beautiful.

I am not even going to try and write words so you can just look at my pictures and be jealous.

I even went on a hike! Do you know how impressive that is??? It was an optional hike and I did it!

Mary was a great hike leader.

I hated every second of the hike until I got to the top. The views were spectacular.

Maybe I hated the hike because these were the shoes I wore?

Jordan ran all the way up the hill and was a crazy mountain goat.

I am still very impressed with myself that I did a hike!

Oh and go to Ambleside. You will love it! You might even encounter a honey badger....

The only way to start off talking about Camden is to say donuts.

They are the best things I have ever had. Not gonna lie I had four....

Camden is not for the faint of heart. I am kind of a baby so I was a little worried at times.

I was definitely glad to have Ivy there to show me around. I would have had a mini panic attack if I had gone there on my own.

They have some really cool shops and the food was pretty good.

And I got to eat surrounded by statues of workmen with a huge horse head staring at me,

Who doesn't like that??

We went on a trip to the North this week and our first stop was Iron Bridge.

It was pretty but to be totally honest I am pretty sure the only reason we went there was to let our driver take a break .

Although Brooke had a real good time.
Then we drove to Preston. More specifically the Preston MTC.

And let me tell you, those missionaries were quite happy to see a whole bus load of female byu students.

You can't tell but they are taking pictures of us...

We went to the MTC to pick up President and Sister Walker. They gave us a lovely tour around some church history sites in Preston and it was so fun.

I also happen to know them from home so it was nice to see them.

The tour was really pretty and at the end we got to snap some pics by the Preston temple.

I don't think it is possible to take a bad picture of a temple. Even my sad photography skills can't make it look bad.
That was mostly just a journal entry of a post so sorry if you actually thought you were going to get to read something good.

I can not resist posting about Hyde Park again.

I just love it so much.

Spring has come and it makes the park even better.

The other day I decided to go to the V&A and since the circle line was down I would have had to take the district line (aka the bane of my existence) so I walked.

And apparently the theme of the day was any and everything having to do with Albert.

I was also really happy to see Hyde Park Chapel.

The church really knew what they were doing when they bought that land. It is right in the middle of a bunch of tourist sites and I am sure it brings a whole lot of exposure to the church.

The V&A was fabulous. This was my first time spending a good chunk of time there and I loved it.

The Chiluly scuplture reminds me of home...and by home I mean Abravenal Hall...

It was a really great afternoon and I will really miss being so close to all these amazing places once I got home...and this time I actually mean home.
