I am not normally a person who spends a lot of time thinking about the past year because I tend to think of my life as a continuous thing and not really divided up by years. But this year has been a big one. Here is a lovely list of some things that have happened this year.

-I finished my first year of college.
- Some of my bestest friends left me to go on missions/ study abroads.
-I went to AFRICA!
-I had my first serious calling in my ward.
-I wen to Boston for the first time.
-The last Harry Potter movie came out.
-I stressed out a lot about not having a major.
-Best staycation ever.
-I applied/got accepted to study abroad.
-And so many other things that for some reason I can't think of.
I hope everyone had a wonderful year and that the next year will be ever better. Happy New Years!!!

My cousins got a new puppy. She is literally the cutest thing I have ever seen. She looks like a walking stuffed animal.

She only loves Emi so it is no surprise that she is laying
next to her.

Miles doesn't really know how to be gentle yet.

Just eating Kasey's hand off. No big deal.
Kasey also decided it would be fun to try and fit in the kennel. It was really fun for everyone else....especially when she got stuck.

Since my phone takes crappy pictures and you can not fully understand her cuteness I will show you a picture Karen sent to me.

Also, Taft's family is the one that just got blueberry so he got to see her via skype on Christmas for the first time ever. And guess who else he got to see??? Me!!! His family was nice enough to let me come over and talk to him for a few minutes. I was so happy and grateful to them. He is doing fantastic and I was so happy to see him/hear his voice! Granted I do miss him even more now but it was definitely worth it!!!

I just spent like half an hour creating a post that chronicled a whole slew of things I have done recently. Including eating at hot dog on a stick, strange food competitions, playing bingo/bunco, being the ultimate loser, Wesley's traffic song, and parking in a handicapped spot.

Then the computer deleted it!!! and I have spent way to much time on the internet this week, so I am not going to make it again. But I am sure you get the basic principle.

I will just say that I hope you had a wonderful new years eve and that 2012 is fantastic for you!

A few weeks ago the Jazz had a scrimmage. I have been quite disappointed with the lack of basketball due to the lockout and I was excited to watch some professionals get playing. I had been thinking about going all week but once Casey invited me and Adam I was all in.

They interviewed the players first and that was kind of entertaining but lets be honest, we had all come to see some basketball. All we have heard for the past 6 months has been talking.

Then the team had to warm up for like half an hour so that was boring. But secretly I think watching sports teams warm up is really entertaining. They do funny stuff and it just makes me feel like I am behind the scenes or something.

Just before the game started I leaned over to Adam and said "I am cheering for the blue team but the white team will win" and indeed I was right. I didn't really like any of the players on the white team (I know that is a ridiculous statement because I should like everyone on the Jazz but I just don't. Sorry!). Plus Gordon Hayward was on the blue team and anyone that knows me knows that he is one of my many soulmates and I could never ever cheer against him.

The people I lived with last year even gave me this shirt
for Christmas.

The blue team tried their hardest but they just didn't do very well. They didn't seem to have any rhythm. So I hope the real Jazz team can do better than that. They have since lost one of their preseason games and both of their regular season games by about 20. I have a feeling this could be a long season....

I had such a good time with all the people I was with. Adam introduced me to the true amazingness of LMFAO and rocking out in the car with him is always a blast.

And I couldn't post a sports post without a little something about Tim Tebow. This video is so sacreligious but yet I find it hilarious.

Zoo Lights.

Last week as part of our Christmas activites we went to go see the lights at the zoo. It was pretty fun but so cold that it was almost unbearable.

I was going to take more pictures but 1. My phone doesn't take very good pictures and I apologize for that 2. My hands were cold inside my mittens so exposing them to the cold air was like torture.

I just love this little sleeping armadillo.
The best quote of the whole night was "Don't put him too close to that he is flammable!!!"

I loved spending so much time with my family!

So one of the first posts I ever did on my blog was about India. I don't talk about it very much because no one can really relate to what I went through and so it is hard to discuss it with others. But last week I got the chance to have a little reunion with some of the people I went there with and it was so great. I was only able to stay for a few minutes but it was so great.

I don't think it is really appropriate to share what people said on my blog and I won't even share what I said because it is too precious to me. If you want to talk to me about it you are more than welcome to but I just don't feel like putting it out there for everyone to read. But I love talking to people about it so let me know if you ever want to chat! (about India or anything else. I really love to chat)

India really did change my life and without that experience I probably would not have had the courage to go to Zambia or to London. It has changed my whole outlook about the world and about human nature and people in general. I am beyond grateful that I was able to go there and help people the tiniest bit. Although I was the one that really got helped. I can not believe it has been almost two years since I went. Wow time flies.

Be grateful for what you have and who you are. You are blessed beyond what you can even comprehend.

I hope everyone has a Christmas as wonderful and fantastic as mine has been this far. And lets just say it was pretty much an all tebow christmas at my house haha.

Merry Christmas!!!

Here is a little Christmas Eve gem for you.

The other day me and Sica watched a movie called "Pizza My Heart" (critically acclaimed by ABC family) It was horribly cheesy and predictable but the pizza they ate throughout the movie looked so good that we couldn't resist going to buy pizza.

Chris joined us on our adventure to wal-mart and him and Sica wore a two-headed sweater....

Speaking with the people I lived with last year...

Last Christmas break we spent a large amount of time sitting in the awkward room off the kitchen making these treats.

They are truly so amazing. I am in love with them. But it takes a lot longer than I remember to make them. So we continued the tradition and made some more this year. Last year we delivered them to people but this year we were just fatties and kept them all for ourselves.

All you do is put hersey kisses on pretzels and put them in the oven so they melt just a little bit. We also used reese's and milky ways. You can really use whatever you want

After they come out of the oven you just push an M&M in the center to create the best treats ever!!!!

I couldn't bear to eat this one since it looked just like a cauldron and I thought it was so cool!

After we made like a million of those we played Taboo. And let me just say that I rock at Taboo. I think it is my calling in life. It is the only game I can ever win. And that may be because I am on a team or it may be that I just have a strange talent for Taboo. But either way I love it and of course my team won.

Two little gems from the evening: Avery did not know that Tim Tebow was religious. Me and Nate thought she was kidding because that is like the most outrageous statement I have ever heard. Avery also thought that there were 9 star wars that was odd....

What would we do without good old Avery???

My family started a new tradition this year where we have a gingerbread decorating contest.

I love it when my family gets together cause there are like
a billion people.

All the kids were checking out the presents.
Each family got a gingerbread house but since my aunt was all by her lonesome I joined her team (aka we became the most awesome team ever!)

We had a ton of candy and stuff to decorate with.  And everyone was really intense about winning (well about 50% of the people were serious)

Everyone else decided to just make a stereotypical gingerbread house but me and Kasey pulled out all the stops and came up with a theme. And let me just say it was the best theme ever!!

But we will get to that later. Here are some of the other ones...and by some I mean all of them...

Keith and Karen's Family.

McNaught Zombie House

Steiner Family

Kristen and Jason's Chapel/House

Zach and Katie's on the left.
Matt and Loren's on the right.
And last but best......

If someone can guess our theme I will give you a prize. And it will be great. Look at the red eyes and the white faces.....They live in cottage in the woods with their baby...and their friend with awesome abs visits them...

I had such a good time doing this and I think this should definitely be a new tradition we continue every year!

I just need to start out by saying that my ward has the most amazing Relief Society Presidency ever.  I am not just saying that because I am in it but truly they are fantastic. I just got released and I am really sad about it. These are some of the most wonderful people I have ever met and working with them was amazing! Be sure to let your relief society presidency know that you are appreciative of all the work they do because they do so much more than anyone knows.

Last week we planned an activity to have all the women make cookies and then deliver the cookies to the Elders Quorum.

I literally made like 7 dozens cookies.
We had a really good time putting together the little packages for all the guys. It was really fun to spend time with just the girls.

We also had quite an adventure trying to find all the guys houses and deliver the cookies. We were quite disappointed that some of the guys weren't home so we couldn't chat with them but its all good because they still got cookies.

My ward is truly fantastic and I am so sad to leave them all for 4 months. I feel like I just started to get comfortable with more people and now I have to leave. I appreciate and love everyone in my ward and I hope they all know that!

My favorite thing about Christmas is getting to spend time with my family and friends. I know that sounds all stereotypical but truly being with my family is so much fun!

Yesterday I spent upwards of 3 hours at my Grandparents house just hanging out with my aunts and uncles and cousins. It was like a constant flow of people in and out of the house and I loved it. I just love spending time with all the people that I don't see on a very regular basis. Plus I have the cutest cousins ever so how could I not want to spend time with them???

Yesterday I also went to a Utah basketball game with Wesley and I always seem to forget that we need to start a tv show because we would be a bigger hit than the Kardashians. We laugh so hard it is unbelievable. Like our super high five, or laughing at the people behind us, or trying to get on tv, or yelling at the crimson line, or when I dropped my spoon and had to eat my dippin dots without one....

I also get to meet with my India Family tonight! I am so excited I can barely stand it. Waterford has another group of students going this spring and I am so excited to meet with them and tell them all about how amazing their trip will be!

Over the next few days there will be plenty of Christmas activities posts coming. So get excited!!!

Let's just discuss the broncos real quick. I know, my obsession must be getting annoying. And I promise soon enough I won't even be able to watch the games and I will be posting all about London. But just let me be obsessed for the moment.

Last week the Broncos had yet another amazing comeback. They were not able to do anything the whole game until the final 4 minutes when they scored  10 points. And a big thank you to Marion Barber for running out of bounds and stopping the clock which gave us the extra 35 seconds we needed!!!  I will not even give Tim Tebow all the credit for this game because at the very end everyone stepped up and really played well. The defense held the Bears offense and forced a fumble in overtime. And everyone on the offensive side played really well. It was a great ending to the game.

I am just in awe that they are 8-5 and playing so well. Everyone says that the streak will end this week when they play the Patriots but I have faith that the Broncos can pull out another win.

And if you need anymore proof that Tim Tebow is the perfect human being watch this video. How in the world can he be so nice during the whole game???

Tim Tebow Video.

And yet another video I just found. Almost too good for words. I have literally watched it like 15 times in the past hour.

I decided that I need to support the Utah basketball team despite the fact that they are 1-8 and the worst team Utah has ever had history. So I went the byu game. Probably the worst decision ever. The utes were able to hold it close for a little while in the first half but they fell apart in the second half.

It is sad because I just strongly dislike the byu basketball team. Some of their players are like literally 40 years old and balding. Oh well, the Utes are just in a rebuilding year and I have a lot of hope for the future. And if worst comes to worst, the Utes are in the Pac-12 while byu is in a totally irrelevant conference.

But whatever. The Utes lost to byu but they won tonight! Hooray! Doubled the amount of games we have won. Yay!

The best part about the game was when the football team captains came onto the court during half time. I just love the football team so much!!!

Speaking of the football team, Sica is my favorite because she got my favorite football player to tweet me. So fun!!! Thanks!

Random side note that doesn't apply at all to this post. I just entered a giveaway at Such a great blog. You should all go check it out!

Blogging world, I have been MIA due to the fact that I had finals and also because finals made me lazy so when I wasn't studying I was sleeping or watching tv (oh the exciting life I live). But now I am back, but I can't promise I won't be lazy.

Here are some delight ful pictures of some things I have been up to...aka nothing.

Watching Duncan bark at a cat.

Filling my gas up to 20.11

Will went to a dance!

Duncan is needy and constantly sits on my lap.
And most importantly....

Got the fattest Christmas tree ever. Love it!!!

Here are some football notes that I know you will all be super interested in.

-Jake Heaps is transferring from BYU. And I am delighted. BYU gets the number 1 recruit in the nation only to have him leave. So good! And of course he is looking into PAC-12 schools because everyone knows they are the best.
(Jake Heaps is also married and that is odd to me)

-LSU vs. Alabama national championship game??? Worst idea ever. That was one of the most boring game ever and I definitely don't want to watch it again. Luckily I will be in London so I don't have to watch it.

-Utah is going to the Sun Bowl. I am not very happy about it because it is in Texas and therefore I won't get to go but whatever. We are playing Georgia Tech and hopefully we can beat them.

-Brandon Burton (who blocked the field goal against BYU last year) plays for the Minnesota Vikings now and the Vikings played the Broncos last week (and the broncos won) but this is a picture from the game.

I feel sad for Tim Tebow and happy for Brandon Burton. Also, I have met Brandon Burton and since he obviously has a close relationship with Tim Tebow that means I know Tim Tebow. Ya?

I will now be descending into the abyss called finals. I have 6 tests in the next 7 days. Think I can do it? Well that's kind of you but I think I am bound to fail at least one. Oh well, how much will these grades really effect my future? Oh right, A LOT! I have to keep my gpa up to get into the program that I want to get into graduate school. NBD. Not like my whole life is riding these finals. Whatever.

I have a love hate relationship with Winter. And by love hate I mean mostly pure hate with the tinest bit of love.

I hate being cold. I don't like skiing. I don't like snow. I don't like short dark days. I don't like coats and boots and scarves. I don't like being cold from the month of October to April. I am literally never warm during the winter. Even being in a scalding hot shower doesn't make me all the way warm. I hate how winter dries out my skin. I hate having to wear 8 billion layers to football games. I hate having to put like 17 blankets on my bed. I hate when I have to get out of my bed and shiver.  I don't even really like hot chocolate.

Henry and Maisie's mini snowman...with the chickens....weird I know.

I love wearing socks.  I wear them 24/7 in the winter...even to bed. (by the way, I just barely realized that was weird....?)  I like fires. I like Christmas. I like Thanksgiving...more than Christmas. I like watching the snow fall...but I would be satisfied with only watching it in movies.

Winter is coming and there is nothing I can do to stop it. So just be ready for my mood to be as cheery as the weather...and in Utah the weather is no good.

Scary storm engulfing the mountains!

It has also become the coldest place on the planet here and going outside means you will probably die....not really but that is what it feels like.

I want am English Bulldog more than most anything on the planet. I think they are the sweetest most adorable dogs ever and who doesn't love their sweet little faces???

I would name him Winston or Wellington or Oscar or any other dignified and British name.

If you ever want to make my the happiest person on the planet you will surprise me with a sweet little bulldog puppy.

It would be my bestest friend and I would love it forever. Please please please give me one!!!

Although this little puppy is pretty good too...

State of Being.

It has been a pretty good week and I did some fun things like see Lauren, go to crappy movie thursday, had some pretty good conversations with Sarah, and other various fun events. But I think I am in a state of depression due to the fact that the Utes don't have anymore games.

I really don't know what to do with myself. What do people do on saturdays when there is no football? I feel lost and like I have no purpose in life....haha just kidding I have a purpose but I am really sad.

Someone needs to tell this girl what to do quick because my saturday has the potential to get more and more boring without my Utes.
